  Task 3 - Powerpoint Presentation  This task I have chosen to speak about Powerpoint. I chose this topic because it's what I used at school and throughout my first placement late last year and what I see myself using in my career as a teacher. I have learnt this week that powerpoint has so many more applications other than just text and pictures. I particularly like features such as animations, transitions between slides, and gallery walks. But I understand the use of it and the importance of it for student learning. It is something that I want to become better at myself and for my students. We are coming into a “paperless world”, where soon most activity done will be done through technology. Knowing how to use digital technology is becoming extremely prevalent around the world and across Australian schools. Being able to effectively incorporate digital pedagogies within the classroom is an essential skill for teachers both new and old. Without these key skills teachers will fall behind with teaching pedagogies and practices, which can have an impact on the students ability to learn. COVID-19 is a great example of this.
